Handheld Radios are the primary means of communication between our firefighters and fire police. This is paramount for our firefighter success and your safety.
Radios also enables communication with police, county and state emergency services, and other departments to coordinate for larger events.
Each radio kit consist of the radio itself, programming, a carrying case, charging base, spare battery, hand mic, and antenna. On average the cost of each system is $3150.
The Wally Hines Foundation has generously donated 50% of the cost for 6 new radio systems and we are now asking the public to help with the rest.
